Marketplace Terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and HUNT, the operator of HuntAnything.com. By accessing HUNT, submitting a request, applying as a business or accepting an offer, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use HUNT for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company. You must provide accurate information and keep account access secure.

2. What HUNT does

HUNT is a request, research, lead-routing and offer-comparison marketplace. Users describe what they want; HUNT may identify possible options from public listings and participating providers; independent businesses may submit offers; and users decide whether to connect and contract with a business. Unless HUNT expressly agrees otherwise in a separate written document, HUNT is not the seller, dealer, contractor, real-estate broker, mortgage broker, lender, insurer, insurance producer, travel provider, employer or other professional performing the transaction.

3. Independent businesses and no endorsement

Participating businesses are independent from HUNT. Verification means HUNT reviewed information submitted by the business; it is not a guarantee, endorsement or continuing certification of licensing, insurance, solvency, workmanship, inventory or conduct. Users must independently review credentials, contracts, references, insurance, permits, warranties and other material facts before proceeding.

4. Offers and transactions

Search results and offers are options to consider, not guaranteed contracts. Labels such as “lowest,” “best,” “top” or “savings” compare only the options HUNT identified and the information available at that time; they do not promise the lowest price or best option in the entire market. Prices, taxes, fees, inventory, availability, reviews, timelines, financing, trade values, coverage, underwriting, permits and warranties may be incomplete or change after inspection, qualification or final contract review. Confirm every material term directly with the provider. Your transaction is directly with the selected business. HUNT is not responsible for payment, delivery, performance, defects, cancellations, refunds, injuries or disputes arising from that independent transaction.

5. Regulated categories

  • Vehicles and financing: HUNT does not make credit decisions or guarantee vehicle condition, history, title, recall status, financing or trade value. Inspect the vehicle and final documents independently.
  • Homes, mortgages and settlement services: HUNT does not create an agency, brokerage, fiduciary or lending relationship unless a licensed professional signs a separate written agreement with you. Any referral arrangement must comply with RESPA and applicable state law.
  • Insurance: HUNT does not bind coverage, underwrite risk or guarantee a quote. Coverage is available only through appropriately licensed producers and insurers and is governed by the issued policy.
  • Remodeling and home services: Verify licenses, insurance, permits, scope, change-order terms, lien waivers and warranties before work begins.
  • Travel: Prices and availability can change and are subject to the provider's final rules, restrictions and cancellation terms.
  • Business purchases: Each party is responsible for its own tax, procurement, cybersecurity, licensing and contractual review.

6. User responsibilities

You may submit only lawful, genuine requests using information you have the right to provide. You may not use HUNT for fraud, harassment, discrimination, prohibited goods or services, scraping, malware, credential theft, false reviews, impersonation, evasion of platform safeguards or interference with another user. Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank credentials, medical records or unnecessary sensitive information.

7. Business responsibilities

Businesses must provide accurate identity, licensing, pricing, fee, availability and offer information; maintain all legally required licenses, bonds and insurance; protect user information; use it only for the authorized request; honor opt-outs; follow advertising, telemarketing, anti-discrimination and consumer-protection rules; and disclose all material terms before contracting. Businesses may not resell leads, contact users before authorization, hide mandatory charges, impersonate HUNT or evade agreed marketplace fees.

8. Communications consent

You authorize HUNT to send service communications about requests, offers, security and accounts using the contact details you provide. When you select a business, you authorize HUNT to release your contact details to that business so it may respond to that request. This is not consent to unrelated marketing or to the sale of your contact information. Any automated promotional calls or texts require separate consent where required. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to promotional texts and use unsubscribe links in promotional email.

9. Fees and compensation

Submitting a Hunt is currently free for consumers unless a charge is clearly disclosed before purchase. Businesses may pay access, subscription, lead, success, transaction or referral fees under a separate written partner agreement. Fees differ by category and location and are collected only where the structure is legally permitted. HUNT may use a flat, subscription or other compliant fee model instead of transaction-based compensation for regulated categories. A business's payment does not guarantee ranking, selection or exclusivity unless clearly disclosed.

10. Accounts, moderation and suspension

HUNT may verify identities and credentials, reject or remove content, limit distribution, investigate complaints and suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or enforce these Terms. HUNT may preserve records needed for an investigation, dispute or legal obligation.

11. Intellectual property and content

HUNT and its branding, software, design and marketplace materials belong to HUNT or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant HUNT a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce and display it only as reasonably needed to operate, secure and improve the marketplace. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submitted content.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUNT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” HUNT DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. HUNT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT A REQUEST WILL RECEIVE AN OFFER, THAT AN OFFER IS THE LOWEST OR BEST, OR THAT ANY TRANSACTION WILL CLOSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUNT AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. HUNT'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO HUNT DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, business users agree to defend, indemnify and hold HUNT harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from their offers, products, services, communications, licensing failures, legal violations, misuse of personal information or breach of these Terms. Other users agree to indemnify HUNT for claims caused by their fraud, unlawful conduct, infringement or intentional misuse of the service.

15. Disputes and governing law

Before filing a claim, you agree to send a written notice to legal@huntanything.com describing the dispute and requested resolution and allow 30 days for an informal response. These Terms are governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes must be brought individually in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Illinois. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief or using an eligible small-claims process.

16. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. Material changes will be notified as required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights without HUNT's consent; HUNT may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger or sale. These Terms and any applicable written partner agreement are the complete agreement about the service.

17. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be sent to legal@huntanything.com.
