Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HUNT, the operator of HuntAnything.com, handles personal information when people submit requests, HUNT researches and compares options, businesses respond to requests, or anyone uses the marketplace.

1. Scope and our role

This policy applies to HUNT's websites, forms, dashboards and marketplace services. Independent businesses that receive information after you choose to connect have their own privacy practices. Review the selected business's privacy notices before giving it sensitive financial, medical, insurance, credit or identity information.

2. Information we collect

  • Request information, including the category, description, budget, ZIP code, search radius, timing and preferences you submit.
  • Contact information, including your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Marketplace activity, including offers, selected businesses, transaction status, communications with HUNT and referral source.
  • Business information, including company and contact details, service areas, categories, credentials, applications and submitted offers.
  • Uploads you choose to provide, such as a written offer or screenshot for Beat My Deal.
  • Account and authentication identifiers when sign-in is used.
  • Technical and security information, such as session identifiers, browser and device data, IP-derived information, timestamps and error or abuse-prevention logs.

We collect information directly from you, from participating businesses, and automatically through the service. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, bank credentials, full credit applications, medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information through a Hunt.

3. How we use information

  • Create, authenticate and manage Hunts, accounts and marketplace sessions.
  • Match requests with businesses by category, territory, timing and other criteria.
  • Receive, organize and compare offers and connect you with the business you select.
  • Verify businesses, operate dashboards, administer partner agreements and track marketplace performance.
  • Send service messages about a request, offer, selected connection, account, safety issue or policy update.
  • Protect users, detect abuse, troubleshoot, secure the service, enforce our Terms and comply with law.
  • Improve HUNT using aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably possible.

4. When we disclose information

Verified businesses may initially receive request criteria such as category, budget, ZIP code, radius and timing. HUNT does not display your phone number or email address in the open business marketplace. We release contact details to the selected business only after you authorize the connection.

We may also disclose information to vendors that provide hosting, authentication, storage, communications, analytics, security or professional services; to a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition or sale; when required by law or legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect HUNT, users, businesses or the public.

HUNT does not sell your phone number or email address to unrelated data brokers and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. HUNT may receive partner, lead, subscription, success or referral fees for operating the marketplace and making authorized connections. If applicable law treats a marketplace disclosure as a “sale” or “sharing,” you may request to opt out by emailing privacy@huntanything.com. Opting out of disclosure needed to match or connect a Hunt may prevent us from providing that feature. A participating business may not use your information outside the request you authorized.

5. Email, calls and text messages

We may send transactional communications needed to operate your Hunt or account. If HUNT later offers promotional texts or automated marketing calls, we will request any consent required by law separately. Marketing consent is not a condition of using HUNT. You may opt out of promotional email through its unsubscribe link and of promotional texts by replying STOP. A request to stop marketing does not prevent necessary service or legal notices.

6. Cookies and similar technology

HUNT currently uses essential session technology to keep the marketplace working, protect accounts and associate Hunts with the correct browser or user. If we add advertising or nonessential analytics technology, we will update this policy and provide consent controls where required.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including operating the marketplace, maintaining transaction and consent records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud and meeting legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to backups and lawful exceptions.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle, including access controls and restricted disclosure of buyer contact details. No internet service can promise absolute security. If you believe your information or account has been compromised, contact us promptly and do not send sensitive information by ordinary email.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability or additional information about eligible personal information, and to appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to use an authorized agent. Email privacy@huntanything.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may verify your identity and authority before acting. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

10. Children

HUNT is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Users must be at least 18 years old to submit a Hunt or business application. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in violation of law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as HUNT changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide notice as required by law.

12. Contact

Questions, privacy requests and security reports may be sent to privacy@huntanything.com. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial credentials or medical information by email.
